Howdy Neighbor
My apartment is growing its own friends.
Is that a weather thing? Or just a random occurrence. Everyone wants a fun guy in their apartment complex, but this really wasn’t what I had in mind. (Save it, you knew that joke was coming - it was inevitable).
I realize this is a rather odd way to introduce the new blog about town, Metroblogging Sacramento. Of course, in some ways, it’s the perfect way to say hello. You never know what you’re going to find here in Sacramento and, accordingly, you never know what you’re going to find here on this site. The first - and only - rule of Metroblogging Sacramento is: (no, duh, we WANT you to talk about Metroblogging Sacramento) everything here will having something to do with Sac. How it connects - well, that’s up to our growing team of dedicated writers who will be out beating the streets for the latest scenes, events, food, issues, events, and sights that make this town blog-worthy. By the way - we’d love you to join us, it’s easy, fun, and a great excuse to get out more often, click here to apply.
If you’ve visited any of the 48 other Metroblogging cities, you know that we’re a diverse collection of writers, photographers, bloggers, and passionate home-town boosters that represent every race, creed, color, religion, political ideology, coffee preference, football team (that’s American Football and World Cup Football), and hairstyles. Hang out and check back while we create a site we hope you can use to better enjoy and engage in your daily life here in California’s Capital city.
We love feedback, so comment often. We don’t censor our writers or edit the posts here: we hope your mind is as open as our writers’ are.
Enjoy!

That’s a scary looking mushroom bursting through the wall. Makes you wonder how many more there are that you can’t see. It’s like a page out of the Body Snatchers!
Hey Sacramento - welcome to the Metblog family :)
Cheers and good luck from the Houston Metbloggers!
Hello Sacramento, welcome!
Congratulations, Sacramento! Welcome to Metroblogging. Much love from Minneapolis. :)
You know, we can make lemonade out of this situation. Well, actually, it would probably be easier to make a mushroom casserole out of this situation . . . but you catch my meaning, I’m sure. A little butter, a few shallots, some white wine . . . hmmmm, I smell dinner!
Nice place, by the way . . . .
