Arnold, Part Two
No, I’m not talking about his re-election, I’m here to tell you that I was also at the gym and can vouch for Christiana’s report. It was amazing to watch people’s reaction…they would walk by, then had to do a double take, and finally a HUGE smile would break out on their face. It was amazing..but really depressed me. Not only did I realize that I just worked my butt off to burn about the same amount of calories that are in one Lean Cuisine meal, but the sighting made me realize just how hard it’s going to be for Phil Angelides to beat this guy…he has that STAR FACTOR that you just can’t compete with…
I would offer two other observations:
ONE-With all the chatting and gladhanding, he got less of a workout than I even get
TWO-My friend who pointed him out to me was wearing his ARNOLDSUCKS.ORG shirt…priceless!!!

I like what you noted when we were at the gym:
Last year, as Schwarzenegger’s special election headed for failure, the Governor could only be found at the stuffy and secluded Capitol Athletic Club. But NOW, in 2006, with a tough re-election battle ahead, now he’s a man of the people working out at 24-hour fitness. Coincidence? I think not.
I agree–it gives him exposure to “the little people”–
