Okay, so it’s not quite the return of the Sacramento Solons, but there will be some Sacramento solons playing Monday at Raley Field. That’s right sports, er, legislation fans: it’s time for the 6th Annual Legislative All-Stars Game!

Legislators will swap the aisle for the diamond as they raise money to benefit the Special Olympics and the River Cats Foundation. With hot dogs and beer in hand - and at just $10 a ticket, this is the kind of partisan bickering we’re totally down with.

The game starts at 6:45 on Monday, August 14 with a Home Run Derby that’s sure to highlight a whole new kind of political heavy hitter, and is followed by live music and drinks.

You can purchase tickets at the Raley Field ticket office, online, or at the State Capitol today between 9am and 5pm or Monday between 9am and 3pm in Room 125.
