We’re still building our blogroll here - populating it with local links and helpful sites. Leave us a comment and let us know you’re around! And don’t forget about our Flickr photo pool - you’ll find it over here. It’s open to anyone with a camera and a picture of something in the area they’d like to share.

Lastly, we’re looking for new writers - we’re a friendly group with only one rule (your posts have to be about Sacramento - anything about Sacramento - and one requirement (you post three times a week). It’s an easy, fun, volunteer gig, and you don’t need any prior experience.

With nearly 50 cities in the network, Metroblogging is quickly becoming a go-to source for media during events they just can’t keep up with: Katrina in New Orleans, shootings in Montreal, earthquakes, fires, floods - not that we’re hoping for any of those things here - but our point is: we’re read. And soon, you will be too.
