Radio days

I used to work with a guy who would drive his gas-hawg truck down from El Dorado county listening all the way to Rush Limbaugh. This man was very good at slithering under the radar–don’t get me wrong, he did what he had to at the office, but he was one of those who could sidestep the rules. Much like Rush.

Personally, I wasn’t much of a fan of Talk Radio until last year, when I discovered Christine Craft and her early evening show on Talk City 1240 AM.

She’s liberal, yeah, but she’s not a pacifist. Since I’m a veteran and also not a pacifist, I appreciated her take on war. Christine is becoming everybody’s darling these days. If you haven’t listed to her, it’s worth it to listen at least once or twice. You’ll probably be back.

In case you were wondering what happened to Air America (it used to be on 1240) it’s now on AM 1320.

It’s so nice to know there are some voices here in town worth listening to, whether you agree or not. At least they’ll keep you thinking–keep your brain “fresh”–it’s not like watching a Survivor marathon, or all your TIVO’ed Desperate Housewives. But I suppose if you’re reading this, you’re not watching Survivor, anyway. (At least not right this minute…ha ha!)
