Revolutionary burger?
Since I work near 29th and P Streets in the midtown area, I was pleased to see that the eyesore that used to be Tune-up Masters has been bought and will be opening this summer as the new “Suzie Burger” restaurant. But it does concern me, as I was clicking around trying to get a menu, that Suzie Burger is just another link in the chain fashioned by a small group of restaurateurs. Let’s all cross our fingers and maybe it will be something more than an appendage to the Bistro-madness.

Glad to hear that tune up masters is going away . Not only is it an eyesore but its a rip off as well . A double whammy . As crazy as it may sound Downtown and Midtown could use more good ol fashion burger joints . At least its not Euro / sushi / coffee …
Agreed. That Tune Up Masters place drives me crazy everytime I drop off the P Street exit. Its a fabulous spot and I think a burger joint fits the bill. I’m with Central on this.
Let’s hope they actually charbroil and lay off the griddle. Haven’t found anywhere that makes a good charbroiled burger yet.
Just thinking about a really good burger on a Friday afternoon….yumba! But where? You both are right–nothing within walking distance, and even though I love ‘em, In-n-Out is not on my way home.
I fully agree, a burger place in the spot makes perfect sense! It’s refreshing to know somebody clued in.
Now, there’s another structure around town of the same design and it’s still some kind of auto place.. If only someone would kick *them* out..
;)
I am happy to have a new burger joint in the area. I hope it is a real down to earth burger with all the fixins and reasonable prices. The new owners of Jim-Denny’s have raised their prices.
