Imagine my surprise this weekend when I passed Philipp’s Bakery on Folsom Blvd in East Sac only to see the window empty of lovely cakes and the display cases devoid of treats. This sign was on the door (click to embiggenify):

Seems a dispute with the landlords has ended this East Sac business. Pretty sad. The bakery got some great press when it opened and removed the “new” from the sign to show that it was new in that it wasn’t “new” it was just “Philipp’s” again.

What a shame.
