Plum Blossom

Go to Plum Blossom and order the cream cheese wontons.

What are you waiting for? Go. Now!

Fine, if you demand to know why you should go, I’ll tell you, but we’re both just wasting time. You deserve deliciousness, and the more time you linger on this post, the less time you have to enjoy the wontons. Now, I know what you’re thinking, ‘deliciousness’ couldn’t possibly be a word!’ But, au contraire, ’tis. Again, I know what you’re thinking, ‘this guy just used ’tis in a sentence! Genius!” I don’t disagree with you.

I digress, let’s get back to those wontons, and the orange chicken, beef chow fun, pot stickers, and the soups for that matter. You’ve probably figured it out by now; Plum Blossom offers Asian cuisine. Might I add, they offer it late into the night too. Open till midnight weekdays, and 2am weekends. Fantastic!

I found the place last year by happenstance. I was hungry at 11pm, it was one of the few places open at 11pm. What a great coincidence, because it’s the best Asian food in Sacramento.

So, let’s review:

1. Go to Plum Blossom.
2. Use ‘au contraire,’ ’tis, and ‘happenstance,’ more often. It’s just fun.

Below you’ll find a picture of hot dogs in a bun offered at Plum Blossom. I take no responsibility for the salivating you’re about to endure.

19th and J in midtown! Diagonally across from the Starbucks/Noah’s/Jamba/Una Mas empire, and up from Spaghetti Factory. Across from Italian Importing.

Lots of food there, come to think of it :)

Oh yes, Italian Importing! Haven’t been there for some time. Might have to meander by. Thanks for the update!

I have heard mixed reviews of Plum Blossom but I have found it to be good but not spectacular. Cream cheese wontons (or their close relatives, crab cheese puffs) are indeed delightful. Having a Chinese restaurant downtown open at 1:00 AM is equally delightful.

I’ll be even more delighted when they turn on that “Open 24 Hours” sign, and I will be able to satisfy my occasional urge for kung pao chicken at 3:00 AM.
