Another insightful and thought provoking statement from the ever delightful Ms. Levy.

They can’t all be winners…yes, I’m a bit of a complainer…I’ll give you that, but I just call em as I see em…

…and on Rick’s, I think the cakes are dry, the frosting is too buttery and not flavorful, and everything is overpriced!

You forgot that the service is so-so and the atmosphere is nonexistent. Ricks has been overrated for years, maybe from the time it opened back in the dark ages. Their desserts are uninspired, unimpressive and, occasionally, inedible. Get thee to Gunthers or Vics if you want dessert.

The last time I went to Ricks I vowed I’d never go back.

I’d rather just go across the street to True Love and get a slice of Chocolate Overlord cake. More room to eat and more consistently tasty.

I agree with the last two comments…I just think it’s a great concept that could be done really well, but suffers because of their bad service and product.

Amanda – Maybe post some real info on the blog instead of just in the comments? Just a thought…

I don’t know what “real info” you’re looking for, but I like to use the blog as a way to engage people in conversation…I bet you my “real info” post on the upcoming cowtown marathon will not receive near the amount of passionate comments that this “comment” post did…just a thought…
