Where have all the Hummers gone?

If you find yourself wondering where all the Hummers have gone…I know. I’ve seen a convoy of them. They’re all zooming along Truxel Road, gliding into the wasteland foreclosure city Natomas. Not only was Hummer the vehicle of choice, but the next most frequently observed model was the illustrious Ford Bronco, not to be outdone by the Ford F-150.

No wonder that part of the city is destined to be flooded. Isn’t hedonism and outrageous behaviour why Noah had to build his ark? Thank goodness Noah got a heads up that the flood was coming. Natomas got a heads up too…and yet the convoys of gas-hogging excessiveness continues.

Newsflash: Hummers don’t float. Probably not a good choice when the levees fail.

Maybe it’s forward thinking on the part of all those star-crossed homeowners. Though, personally, I think the Range Rover would be a better choice for driving across the mudflats of a the post-deluge wasteland.

It’s a sad world we live in when an armored tank that gets 13 miles to the gallon is no longer free to roam the suburban or urban streets of this nation. Oh, wait…good riddance Hummers!

Check out two cool videos we’ve done recently about the not-so-wonderful world of Hummers:

What a stupid post, not even thought provoking.

Hmm, well, I own a badass F-250. And I’m a sensible Midtown dweller that walks to work. Aside from the occasional parking woe, it’s a beautiful coexistence. I have some pretty amazing offroad adventures. A girl’s gotta have an adventure vehicle. Is that gluttony? I would say not, but I’ve never been one to cast stones.

Lora, you are unique. If you have fun driving your vehicle, bravo. Just don’t try to run the smaller vehicles down, okay? It really makes us grumpy.
