Free Pancake Day at IHOP

Tuesday, March 7 is National Pancake Day. Get a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm at participating IHOP restaurants.

The pancakes are free, but consider at least a $5.00 donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital (local: UC Davis Children’s Hospital). Extra good: make a $5 donation and receive a coupon good for $5 off your next visit.

2-1-1 Sacramento is a free confidential information and referral service that is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
This 2-1-1 service connects you to various information including support groups, drug treatment, elderly needs, homework help along with how to volunteer or provide assists during a crisis.

Railroad Museum’s Exhibit “Clearing the Way”

railroad mueamThe California State Railroad Museum is presenting an exhibit featuring various snow removal methods, now through March 2017.
See how cumbersome and dangerous snow removal on the railroad can be and how the preferred methods have changed over time.
The exhibit and a historic 1920s 251,000-pound rotary snowplow will be on display in the Museum’s Roundhouse; included in the Museum admission.
