Railroad Museum’s Exhibit “Clearing the Way”

railroad mueamThe California State Railroad Museum is presenting an exhibit featuring various snow removal methods, now through March 2017.
See how cumbersome and dangerous snow removal on the railroad can be and how the preferred methods have changed over time.
The exhibit and a historic 1920s 251,000-pound rotary snowplow will be on display in the Museum’s Roundhouse; included in the Museum admission.

Parking: Old Sacramento Garage, Tower Bridge Garage also limited-term, metered street parking.

Story Time for the Young

StoryTime2Introducing the love of reading for children (Ages 2-5). The California State Railroad Museum every Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the East Theater. Museum volunteers will read a different railroad-related book. Afterwards the youngsters can visit the Museum with their parent(s).
