Vinotweetup!

Need a day trip that’s all about wine? Check out Arger-Martucci Vineyards in St. Helena.

Arger-Martucci Vineyards

I loved this 2004 Pinot Noir: rich texture with a subtle fruity finish. Arger-Martucci has a beautiful tasting area. It’s next to a pool, surrounded by vines and roses.

Closer to home, I was tickled to read about a Sacramento event combining my two passions: Wine and Twitter!

L Wine Lounge is hosting the Sacramento Vino Tweetup on Tuesday, 7/28, starting at 5 PM. I stumbled on this #vinotweetup via @entreprini. You can buy tickets on the event web site. The ticket price includes appetizers and wine flights from these winemakers:

  • James David Cellars
  • Radee Wines
  • MAS Wines

Cheers!

On the Eve of the Equinox

OK. The College Basketball Season is now dead to me.

Thanks to my vampire schedule, I got to watch my Bears play and fail in Kansas City. All in the privacy of my own home. Where no one can hear me scream at the flat-screen TV.
It’s probably better that way.

We’re less than 24 hours away from Spring. I looking forward to spending more time outside.

I like checking out the blooming trees on my walks around downtown Sacramento. I also started my own veggie garden at home. I guess I can’t wait for the Farmer’s Market to open back up at Chavez Park. We’ll see if I have a green thumb or if I should be kept out of the yard.

Are you Twittering yet?
Then here’s another pre-Spring activity for you: meeting up with new people from social networking sites. Tonight in Roseville, the Boxing Donkey’s hosting the next Sactweetup. I wish I could go, but it’s past my bedtime. Sounds like the first Sactweetup had about a nice turnout.

Waking up with a cup of vanilla chai. The wet weather’s reminding me that Spring is still a few weeks away.

So much for that morning jog.
Maybe next time.

Moving on to rainy weather activities – catching up on my favorite TV shows (I’m ready to roll with 30 Rock, either on my Direct TV’s DVR or on Hulu), reading (just finished “The Collected Stories of Philip K. Dick Volume 1: The Short Happy Life Of The Brown Oxford”), e-mail, RSS headlines and Twitter.

Luvin Twitter

In Sacramento, the Twitter community’s rockin’. I’ve had a blast following the amazing people behind the twitters, replies, RT’s, hashmarks and random connections….in 140 characters or less.
